Kei Kusuma is a graphic artist who grew up in Malang, East Java. His work reflects on the beautiful yet contradicting aspects of our day-to-day lives, illustrated by female forms and half man-like figures. Through his use of vibrant colours, he attempts to counterbalance the bad with the good – capturing the paradoxical nature of our being.

 

Currently based in Jakarta, he has taken part in solo and group exhibitions held both nationally and globally, including ‘ULTRABLACK’ (2017) in Las Vegas, USA, ‘ILLUNESIA’ (2016) in Darmstadt, Germany and ‘The Salon A to Z Exhibition’ (2015) in Osaka, Japan.
